bonus rec... well, I don't know if anyone here is into Ninja Warrior and Japanese language but just in case... I found the complete 2011 final of NW in 5 installlments on Youtube. Ninja Warrior 27 1 FINAL Good picture and sound quality, no annoying English voice over. Also no subtitles but, it's a hundred people running through an obstacle parcours and half the time the commentator is describing what's happening on the screen.

I won't even call this a guilty pleasure, I like this show in an entirely unironic way. :)

Ninja Warrior is all kinds of awesome. Me and my roommate used to watch it on G4 on the weekends. I haven't been keeping up lately since we stopped living together.

That shit is hard though, and I am so impressed with the people who even make it to the final.

Yeah, the parcours is crazy, when I first saw it I couldn't believe it's even possible. I'd be happy just to get through the first stage. But I'd LOVE to have a go. Without cameras or time limit, needless to say.

*g* I see I'm in good company. Youtube has lots of Ninja Warrior vids! It's perfect for practising the language, too. It's just not good to have it on while sketching... the other day I got nothing done because I was so hooked by the show.
