I just tore a callous (that was not clumsiness for once, that can really happen easily when climbing) so anyway, I check google for the fastest way to get nice new sturdy skin because the internet knows all... and apparently the fastest way is thus: "Apply Salt. Soak your hand in warm water with salt for 10mins." I'm so not doing that. I'll take the two week healing period and put a bandaid on. (That was from a weight lifting site. Weight lifters are too hardcore for my taste, I decided. Apply salt my ass.)

If you can get your hands on it, medical grade Manuka honey is amazing. My sister just about degloved her little toe, and that's what she used on it. I can't believe how fast the skin grew back. Fantastic for burns too. Needs to be dressed to keep it moist so the honey will work properly.
