Rec of the day/ beta for an Angel fic, anyone?

Summary: A silent, unexpected raid where the team feels safest. Can they survive the attack on Avengers Mansion?

In which the team's home base gets invaded and those that escape notice have to resort to guerilla warfare. Kinda like in Die Hard. Die Hard With Avengers, so to speak. ;) The action-filled fight scenes are really well written and I got clear images of the story in my mind as I read. Good read!

Anyone out there interested in beta'ing an Angel fanfic (not by me)? It's halfway written, around 30k atm. Goes AU at the end of S4, a fusion with Silent Hill, and features the team, including Cordy, and Kate. It's a good and quick read, I've already read the first two chapters. It mostly needs some minor fine-tuning by an English native speaker as the writer isn't a native speaker. If you're interested, check out the comments in the LJ post before this one.

I wish that I had the free time to betaread a story that long, because that sounds brilliant. I'm so sorry I can't do it! But will you please tell the author that their story sounds absolutely amazing and I can't wait until it's finished and I can read it? (And will you please post when it's up so I can go and read it?)

I know right? A team fic plus Kate, and longer than 1000 words? Count me in! (And the author likes her which bodes well for the character in the fic.) I'm keeping an eye on the fic myself, will let you know when it's done.

Wait, and she even likes Kate? That's even better! (So many people hated her that looking for Kate fic was like an exercise in things you should never write.)

Hee! I'm the writer, so I can say with good authority (unintended pun...) that I love all the characters on Angel, Kate included! I consider that this bodes well for them all! :D In fact, I love Kate enough that I did a shippy Angel/Kate fic, but unfortunately it became so long as to require a decent case file, and I suck at making them up. Definitely needs more planning there.

You can read the first five chapters of the Silent Hill fusion fic here (http://sky-industries.livejournal.com/4772.html). And I have another Angel fic nearly done, which I'll also upload there, probably next week. If you read any of them at some point and you're a native English speaker (especially American), feel free to point out any errors that might catch your eye. I would appreciate any help there.

(Also, that fic is actually going to be over 60 000+ words in total based on the current outline, not the estimated 30k. I seriously can't write anything short - fiction or otherwise. Sorry...)
