Grimm seems to be shaping up into an interesting show. Huh. Though still... interesting for German speakers. [livejournal.com profile] frogspace writes: (spoiler/German, for once grammatically correct but still spectacularly inappropriate) "Absoluter Höhepunkt für mich ist ja der Moment, wo Monroe über den sterblichen Überresten eines Freundes folgenden traditionellen deutschen Segen spricht: Alles hat ein Ende, nur die Wurst hat zwei. "

I really want to go running today but yesterday I was rollerblading along the same route and couldn't help but notice that it goes right past half a dozen rye fields. Rye and I, we're not on good terms in May/June. I suppose I should go to the gym instead and work out indoors in a pollen-free environment. Just, the weather is so wonderful it seems like a waste not to make use of it.

Ahaha! Well, it certainly could be classed as a traditional German saying? Um.

It always baffles me that script writers seem so incapable of finding a native speaker to doublecheck their translations. It can't take that much time or be that expensive, surely? It's like the time that Supernatural had an episode with an evil leprechaun (sigh) and the "spell" to get rid of him was words picked at random from the Our Father—they made nowhere close to grammatical sense.
