Look Ma, no hands!

My stilts got here today. :D And I could just now squeeze in a few minutes before dusk and the onset of a thundershower - wet asphalt is a no-go for these things. So, I recruited a friend to hold my hand during the first steps (I bribed her with the prospect of having a her own turn) and it's honestly easier than it looks. The second round I walked on my own with almost no hand-holding and it felt pretty okay. As long as there was someone still around so I knew I could grab a hand if need be. Like, psychological backup. And to help me past the two steps in front of our door. Steps are still scary.

I hope the weather is nice tomorrow so I can try again!

No pics yet, we spent most of the half hour we had trying to figure out how to put them on. :)

Good timing it was; that was one hell of a thundershower just now.

I was just going to ask for you to take pictures! It sounds like the learning curve isn't too bad... so how long until you start racing at 20 MPH or jumping 9 feet in the air? :D

I just did the first mini-jogs. They're so bouncy, it's like you have to. The only time I almost lost my balance for a split second was when I almost tripped on one of the ends. Mental note: lift your knees. And it's weirdly difficult to stop running.

I got no plans for jumping, ever! Just a few hops maybe.
