Still no progress on my very random hippogriff pic but now I'm halfway through book three of The Hunger Games. Also got feedback for my cover art so I can start on the detailed sketches, which is good because I was getting slightly antsy.

Couple more character sketches from Leverage. (Sophie, Hardison, and Eliot (but that one's really a very quick, rough sketch)). For Sophie's I tried coloring directly on printouts of the pencils rather than inking it.

Your art! I'm never not impressed. I wish I had time to take a class so I could learn to draw half as well.

You don't have to take a class, though, if you want to draw! You can just pick up a pencil and paper and start drawing (and post sketches here if you want tips and feedback, there are always other artists around on LJ).

Of course time is still a factor...

You do such a fabulous job with these characters' likenesses! And I like the soft effect of coloring over the pencils on Sophie; that looks neat. <3

Heh. It's been about 20 years since I've drawn anything. (Oh, God, I can't believe it's been that long.) I have no idea even what I would try to draw! Maybe I should see if I can find something with clear lines.

Yeah, I like the result and I like it even more because it saves the whole inking stage. :) Actually in the top middle one I had inked it too, and overlayed the ink drawing on top of the colored one and then deleted some parts of it. That's an effect I want to look into more.
