case story big bang - signups still open
I signed up as an artist for
casestory, the Case Story Big Bang: 10,000+ words of casefic in any fandom. (Or authors can turn in a couple of connected shorter stories.)
I have no idea how much free time I'll have in May when the art will have to be created but as Big Bangs go that one's as low-pressure as it gets, especially for artists. I find that very appealing.
Singups for authors are still open, too!
Went ice skating today for the first time in four years! The previous years were either too warm or too snowy. Today the ice was just about solid enough for skating and word hasn't gotten around yet, so my friend and I had the entire lake for ourselves. Luxury! Smooth, polished, beautiful ice which cracked a little here and there to make things interesting. Best ice I've been on in a really long time. 10 out of 10. Those lakes are ideal because they're only two feet deep at the most, so, low risk there. I'll probably go again tomorrow, make use of the fact that it's a workday. I bet on the weekend half the city's gonna be there.
I love this weather. It was -7 when we were on the lake and I wasn't even cold, whereas the previous weeks it was way above freezing but wet and miserable.
