Rec of the day
I skipped a lot of days of recs recently, but to make up for it I have a really long one today, and it's a page-turner:
At Your Service by
faithwood (Harry Potter)
96,000 words; Harry/Draco and ensemble; NC-17; mystery/action/romance
Summary: Hogwarts students are in danger; Harry is determined to save them all. There's only one thing he knows for certain: Draco Malfoy is somehow involved.
The story is set after the end of book 7; Harry and his yearmates are briefly back at Hogwarts to finish their final exams, but they soon get sidetracked by inexplicable goings-on that threaten the students. I recommend this fic also for those who otherwise don't ship Harry/Draco. The mystery is complex, extremely well plotted and has a satisfying conclusion. And as a mainly gen reader I really liked the way the Harry/Draco part of the story developed and meshed with the rest of the plot.
Oh, it's stopped raining! I can finally go running. Maybe I'll make it home dry, even. ;)
