art post

I used the shabby (shabby, shabby, shabby) weather we're experiencing right now and, among other things, colored that sketch I did in the Fens in Boston. Took me ten years to finally get around to that.

Pencil sketch is near the top of this old post.

I also used the snowball writing method friendshipper described to finally get a handle on my original comic script. I'm still missing a crucial plot development in the second act and the ending is very bumpy but I think it's getting there. I know my characters, my setting and my themes. I hope the crucial plot element will somewhat naturally develop out of those three.

And I did all my laundry. And started to visit the surrounding kindergardens to unload a whole bag of books (in exchange for a donation receipt, which is as good as money earned if you think about it). I also went running today with my barefoot shoes, which went very well and and I didn't even get rained on. And climbing yesterday was awesome.

So the week has been quite productive and I should be content... but the weather, man, gets you down. They're predicting 14°C for tomorrow. That's 57.2F. There has been a day in December with 14°C. (Granted, that was just as unnatural.)

gorgeous art! (as usual) I like the juxtaposition of the blackberries and office buildings...

Oh, lovely! And it looks very Bostonian to me -- the trees, the blackberries, and the tall buildings all in one look.
