Horses! And ponies!
This morning I got my illustrator's copy for last year's "Horses and Ponies" book, formerly known as the Project of Doom. The Doom part was because I'd calculated the project for two months when it took three, at seven days a week. Fun times.

Just preliminary pics. I have to wait with the proper photos for my gallery until the sun decides to peek out from behind the clouds. It has to happen eventually, right? Sigh.
Screw the weather, I'm going to the sauna today. The plan was to go buildering but looking at the weather radar I don't know if that's gonna happen.

Speaking of,
rydra_wong just posted a video with some first-class buildering.
And in case you missed yesterday's Writer's Block question on the LJ homepage:
LJ Writers Block question:
What is your favorite foreign film? Do you think there should be an American remake?
That's so adorable. I wanted to answer that my favorite foreign film is Groundhog Day. :P
But I couldn't decide because I also love The Nightmare Before Christmas, and oh, so many others, I just can't pick just one.

And I guess with LJ belonging to SUP now, only Russian and Soviet films wouldn't be eligible for that question, no?

Yep. And that's only half the pages. Plus, somehow, last year almost every other job involved horses as well. Now I LOVE drawing horses, one of my favorite topics... but still, that book I just finished that was about not!horses? I quite welcomed the change. ;)

I heard of a case where the boyfriend made an ultimatum: "The horse or me." Three guesses how it ended. ;)

I can see it took a lot of work, getting the pictures to fit behind the fold-ups.
Yeah, that was part of what made it so time-consuming. And there are just so many detail on each page to begin with, I didn't see that coming when I was told the page count.
