This vid tells D'Angelo's story and it's structured in a way that the storyline, the conflict and the emotions come across so clearly that I think it'll work even for someone who never watched The Wire. It gives a good impression of what the show is about. (D'Angelo is only one of a large cast of characters and many of them get as complex story arcs as his. It's a show really worth checking out.)

Keeping in mind that this vid has a few pretty major spoilers though... [eta: if you're already watching the show, I'd suggest to save this vid for when you've finished the season.]

I am up to season 1 episode 6. D'Angelo is such an interesting character and I am in love with the story. I am intrigued and I want to watch this so bad but I don't want to be spoiled.

What episode do I have to watch to in order to get past spoiler range?

Okay, if you're already watching, save this vid for when you've finished the season. The biggest spoiler is from the penultimate episode, I think, somewhere close to the end at least.

I considered whether I should rec this to people unfamiliar with the show, because of the spoilers, but I figured if one isn't yet familiar with the characters, they'll hopefully have forgotten the spoilers by the time they get around to watching the show. That's my experience from vid-watching.
