I just went running in -3°C. In the snow, whoot! (We got 0,3 inch... that counts as snow where I live. :) For the first ten minutes I was cursing my super-functional high-tech jacket because, micro fiber or not, I was still freezing like hell. But after a while I actually started to feel warm and the cold didn't bother me any more. It was downright pleasant. Sunny, too. And now I feel awesome. Excellent way to fight the winter blues. (Now it's past 5 pm and dark outside. But, only three more weeks till solstice!)

I'm somewhat disappointed that there wasn't a single snowflake to be seen here, when just a bit further north in Schleswig-Holstein they apparently got half a meter with snowdrifts.

Snow is way overrated. Well, we used to be squeeful on the rare occasions where it snowed here, but then there was last winter where the stuff wouldn't melt away for two solid months... that was majorly inconvenient.

I'm hoping for a few weeks of below-zero temperatures so there'll be good ice skating conditions! But I can totally do without any more snow this winter.

Yes, last winter was too much, definitely. I didn't mind it in the snow state so much, as that it was still there once it compacted into ice, and that the city didn't put enough grit anywhere it was responsible rather than the private houses. I also hope this thing with the temperatures of -6 but felt as -14 that's predicted for tomorrow will go away again quickly.

Shiit, jetzt weiss ich, was die mit 'gefühlte -14' meinen... war das kalt draussen! Wenn das so bleibt, lege ich mir eine Skimaske zu.

At least now I'm warm and cozy, and the heating isn't even on.

Als ich eben draussen war, fühlte sich meine Nase nach kürzester Zeit wie ein Einzapfen, und dabei war ich nur eben über die Strasse zum Supermarkt. *bibber*
