I made four posts in all of September? Gah. Today I finished tracing most of my sketches for page 11. 11 Of 12! If all goes well and I don't get any more revisions (please please please no more revisions) I'll be done with the pencils in two days. And then I'll be sweating and swearing over the coloring of course, but at least two entire stages will be finished. I can't wait.

After the monster project of doom I worked on over a year ago I swore to myself I wouldn't ever get caught again in a work-intense, low-paid, deadline-chasing job that goes on for months and months and sucks out my energy. I was really careful to avoid those. I don't know how I ended up in this place again. On the plus side (there is one if I look hard) the drawings I've done so far are good. If at least I'll end up with a great, kick-ass book to show for it, that's... something. Ah well. (I might lock this post tomorrow.)

My day today pretty much sucked; I've been fighting a cold for the past few days and I can't really afford to get sick right now. I haven't been able to work out for days because of the cold, so I'm cranky and my back starts to complain. But in the evening I suddenly felt better again so I went to Japanese class, and the day was saved. We have a new teacher and some fresh blood among the students, and today we had the entire class in Japanese for the first time. It was awesome. Worked pretty well, too.

And I see that a batch of fresh SGA fic has been posted. Yay.

Also in the yay column - I thought I'd have to drop out of fma_ladyfest, but the other day I took a sickday and by the end of it I had something to submit. I would've hated to withdraw from that one!

and lastly, did you know that AO3 now has a 'read later' button? Very handy! And it looks like you can post story illustrations and link them to the work in question. I'm starting to love that archive more and more; it has so many well-thought-out features.

off to read fanfic. recs later...

*waves* Hi! I saw your last post (cute photo!) but didn't comment at the time. Sounds like you're very busy! Glad your cold is better.

I didn't know! I'll have to try it out myself--I always have too many tabs open, and this would be good for bookmarking :)
