meme answers
For those curious, my answers for the Fave Character Meme are
1. Star Trek TOS - Spock all the way, baby.
2. Die Söhne der grossen Bärin - Harka (how come no one knows this series... some of the best German-language books I've read in my life.)
3. Star Wars - wasn't in it for the chars, I was fangirling the Jedi mythology
4. Remo - ditto for the made-up martial art of Sinanju
5. The X-Files - Mulder
6. Star Trek: Voyager - in fic, clearly Chakotay; on the show it's a tie between the Holodoc and Seven, closely followed by Tuvok and Neelix (particularly when they share a scene)
7. Star Trek: Deep Space Nine - A lot of people guessed Kira but no; Garak all the way
8. Frasier - Niles
9. Drop the Dead Donkey - Ensemble
10. Angel - Angel (also Kate and Connor, but Angel was the reason I even started watching.)
11. Buffy - tie between Buffy, Anya, and Spike
12. Bones - Brennan
13. Stargate: Atlantis - Rodney

I adore Garak too, but for me it's Kira. Well, Sisko sometimes nudges his way to top spot. And Bashir. And O'Brien. Gah! Too many awesome characters!

Garak was my fave by far, and I had a thing for Dukat as well... sleezy and morally ambiguous (mildly speaking) but fascinating. And the Ferengi: never expected to become a fan of Quark and his family but they got really interesting storylines and character development. I like Bashir too, but mostly when he was with Garak - they were as close to an OTP as I'll get.
That was a good show! I never understood why it had the lowest ratings of all the Trek spinoffs.
