I was all set to buy a new computer and scanner... and this morning my screen went dark. Excellent timing, I thought. Took me a while to figure out it was the monitor and not the computer. Then another little while to search for the receipt and see if I'm still within the warranty (of course I'm not). That was a really unproductive day. And it looks like tomorrow is gonna be a really expensive day... new scanner, computer and monitor in one fell swoop, urkh. At least I still have trusty laptop, so I don't have to go computerless in the meantime.

1. Post a list of up to 20 books/movies/anime/TV shows/video games/bands that you've had an obsessive fannish love or interest in at some time in your life.
2. Have your f-list guess your favourite character/member from each item.
1. Star Trek TOS
2. Die Söhne der grossen Bärin by Liselotte Welskopf-Henrich
3. Star Wars
4. Remo: Unarmed and Dangerous (the novelization was better than the movie :P)
5. The X-Files
6. Star Trek: Voyager
7. Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
8. Frasier (no, really...)
9. Drop the Dead Donkey
10. Angel
11. Buffy
12. Bones
13. Stargate: Atlantis
I don't have 20; when I fall for a fandom, I set up camp and get comfortable.
I only now realized that "Remo" may have been a factor in my taking up martial arts. Good times. :)
Off to get some work done. I'm gonna post recs once I have my browser bookmarks back.

Also, I have computer envy now. I'd love a flat screen monitor (it would take much less room on the desk), but mine still works, so I can't justify getting a new one, what with not really having the money to spare.

Spock? Obi-Wan? Scully? Janeway? Niles? And for SGA, is guessing team allowed? If not, Rodney?
I loved Frasier!

(how could a young fangirl not imprint on Spock?),
indeed!
