Ha, you know what's great? All the while I thought my old scanner was breaking down because the scans were off-color, and just now I realized I had it set to 'crappy quality' for quite some time. *head desk*

I've had no luck getting one, either. Very clever marketing. People want what they can't have, so making it hard to get to start off with creates a frenzy of "must have."

Nah, afaik it's not a marketing strategy, they're just gradually increasing the userbase so the site won't crash in the beginning. ... but it really works awesome as a marketing strategy, I must say.

Actually, whether it's a marketing strategy or not, the more I think about it, the more pissed off I get. Because basically it's a popularity contest. And I had a rough time at school with not having many friends and being bullied, so it's hit a raw nerve.

How are you liking it so far?

It's looking good so far, very user friendly, with some useful changes, and close enough to the LJ layout and structure to feel comfy. I haven't delved in deeply though.

I have no code right now, but you can have the first one I have available, if you like. (Don't know when that'll be though.)
