I'm still not done with reading through all the sga_santa entries, but here are my favorite stories so far:
Five Stories Jeannie Miller Tells by
argosy
McKay/Sheppard; PG-13; ~4,300 words
Summary: She hopes they will tell all the stories of Atlantis.
A lovely, bittersweet story, beautifully written and structured.
The True Story of When They Went A-Wandering by
auburnnothenna
gen; Rating: R; humor; Spoilers; through 5x13 Inquisition; ~16,290 words
Summary: It's just like a mission, only not.
Funniest fic I've read in a while; I had a great time reading it. This is the tale of our intrepid team following the honored Pegasus tradition of The Wandering (in order to improve their image in the galaxy). Naturally they handle that task with great grace and dignity... um.
I had this one printed out and was reading it in public. And I was giggling my way though this story. People were looking. ;)
last ep of SGA tonight... I think I'm kind of in denial. :( I don't want the show to end. I don't really want to watch it tonight but rather save it, but it's either watch it now or avoid the internet until I have. Meep. [eta: okay, still not done with work so I'll probably watch it tomorrow... don't tell me about it.]
I really shouldn't post at all right now because I still haven't finished today's work. Okay, just a few pics I've taken today...
Frozen Lake Aa

Lake Aa, a little later

this is from last month, I think.

It doesn't show on the pictures, but the ice on the lake is total crap. It had snowed on it the one day, then the next day the snow melted into a slush, and that's when the temperature really dropped. So now the ice is covered by a layer of rocky frozen slush and it's totally ruined for skating. It's so frustrating, finally we get a winter cold enough that the ice on the lake actually carries, and for longer than a day too, and we can't skate. Though tomorrow we plan to try anyway. And I rode my bike across the lake, which was pretty cool.
We have a cricket in the kitchen. Now our apartment sounds like a western movie. I actually like the sound.
