The Stargate panels were a big helping of awesome with a cherry on top (the cherry being the shiny Stargate Worlds t-shirt we got. Totally worth missing my copyright seminar over. Richard Dean Anderson is funny as hell. And the Atlantis s5 trailer looked *really* promising!

Oh, oh, fandom. Can't type very well on this keyboard but here's my 2 cents on those things that're making the rounds right now (in bullet point format):

-re. partly_bouncy: Oh man, you have no idea how hard it's been not to comment, and if I hadn't been at a clunky hostel keyboard that day, I would've written a lengthy rant, because she's crossed the line from merely obnoxious to vicious and destructive. But I have a feeling that plenty of others have posted on that by now.
-re. fanlib: *points and laughs*

'sides, even legitimate edits routinely got users banned.

It's not knee-jerk, not from where I'm standing. Thing is, this didn't start just now, this has been a long time coming and people have been steaming quietly until now. And the information is very throughly gathered, leaving just this conclusion.

Exaclty. She's a destructive influence, instead of contributing to the community. Parasite, that nails it.
Few people will envy Xing any money he's making running ffn; he's doing a hellu job and providing a valuable product. More importantly, he didn't start out to make a profitable site, that's just the way it grew.
Anyway, gotta go to bed, early bus to catch...
