(no subject)

So NBC are going to check at buffy.nu regularly to see if "the public responce [sic! later edited, and who edits a quote] is strong enough" to warrant a sixth season on their network. Riiiight. Not so much a prank as someone's rather transparent attempt to get more traffic, methinks. But maybe I'm just paranoid.

What this stupid kindergarten game of, "We're number one!" - "No, We're number one !!1!" all about, anyway?

Yep. NBC is just jumping on the idea.... let's grab that show up now and make sure all these fans who don't give it good ratings as it is watch our network.

Uh huh.

Well, the ratings weren't that bad... for the WB. The frog could do much worse. NBC though... if those people must fabricate a hoax, they could at least try not to insult our intelligence. And now a lot of people got their hopes up in vain, again, just so one self-important site could spike up their hits. [/conspiracy theory]

I went to buffy.nu again and saw there's been some heavy back-pedalling going on since.
"We think more and more that this news is a fake because NBC will announce his schedule May 17th, Angel staff/crew are no more available and James Marsters has no more hair !, we will try to investigate further. We are sorry in advance if we all have been fooled."

Looks like it might have been a hoax after all. No kidding!

For WB, nah, not bad ratings at all really. But NBC? Really, people need to think before they believe every single rumor out there.
