I love well-done constructed reality-vids! Hard to believe this is her first fanvid - it does a great job of hinting at the larger story behind it, and it has that actual trailer feeling. I didn't read the story it was inspired by as I don't read much Eliot-centric fic but I'm thinking I might add it to my reading list now.

I have a head full of inspiration for traditional fanart but drawing any of that stuff would take too much time atm, considering I got almost no work done in the past three days and am not allowed any more goofing off until I do! It doesn't help that nothing much seems to be going on on the publishers' side, with the Easter holidays coming up.

(It also doesn't help that I somehow started to re-read a really cool, really long DS9 fic this morning...)

Still no progress on my very random hippogriff pic but now I'm halfway through book three of The Hunger Games. Also got feedback for my cover art so I can start on the detailed sketches, which is good because I was getting slightly antsy.

Couple more character sketches from Leverage. (Sophie, Hardison, and Eliot (but that one's really a very quick, rough sketch)). For Sophie's I tried coloring directly on printouts of the pencils rather than inking it. ( Images behind the cut )

I scribbled around and ended up with a sketch of Parker teaching Hardison how to skateboard.
Skateboarding is all about balance so I bet Parker would be a natural at it. Sadly that doesn't fit any of my bingo cards even if I interpret the prompts really generously.

The Zombie Apocalypse Job by monkeytwin (Leverage)
team with some Nate/Sophie; minor crossover with SPN; PG-13; 6,973 words
Summary: Pretty much exactly as advertized.
reccer's note: Due to the format of this fic some of the chapters are very short; to get the entire story in one file go to the fanfic downloader at FLAG, enter the story ID (6566093) into the top field that says 'Source URL / ID' and pick your format of choice.

Nicely creepy and action-filled. The story covers a longer time frame, showing snapshots of events here and there, and it brings things to a satisfying end. I'd love to read an epic 100,000 words version of this apocafic but these glimpses are already very entertaining.

Because I'm all filled with show-love ~~and the sudden desire to pimp my show~~. If you've been interested in checking out Leverage, this trailer gives an idea what it's about. (Almost no major spoilers) The current season just finished, what better time to catch up. :o)

Finished watching the latest Leverage. Wow, is all I'm saying. I'm glad I was (mostly) unspoiled.

My Bingo line could end up kind of Eliot-heavy but I shall try to get the other characters involved as much as possible. Next up: knife, I think. Should be fun to throw one of the others in a knife fight and see how they handle themselves. Mehehe.

Summary: An old colleague of Nate's is in need of assistance, but will the past interfere?

This fic rocks. Good Sophie/Nate fic is not easy to find to begin with and good, longer Sophie/Nate fic with a con plot is even more elusive. The story was written for me (yeah, I'm not above bribery to get what I want) and it really hits the spot. A con plot in the vein of the show, a very interesting OC, twists, turns, more twists... and Sophie and Nate being, as usual, pretty crap at the whole romance thing (but not hopeless).
(I did rename the OC for myself... my name is rare enough that anytime I hear it I go, "who, me?!")

I finished the book I've been working on. I have one more quick project to finish and then I'll have time for fanart, hopefully. Maybe I'll try the fic-for-art thing again. While on the topic of bribery. ;o) And I still haven't started on h/c bingo, but I already have several ideas...
