a few more fic recs...
I had this vague idea for an Atlantis graphic novel involving a crashed Spaceship lying at the bottom of the ocean. Then yesterday I watch 'Submersion'.
So unfair. *stabz*
I might still do it, I just have to keep it very different from that ep. *stabzstabzSTABZ*
In mildew news, we're having workmen in the basement who're removing the mold-infested plaster from the walls and the water-soaked pavement from the floor. Whole place has been sounding like a construction site for the past three days. The fun part is that they start at 7am, while I rarely go to bed before 3 am, usually later. Strangely enough I don't feel sleep-deprived yet but I'll be glad when they're done with their thing by tonight.
Secret message to landlord: if you own a house with a pump in the yard, and you know that its basement has been flooded in the past when said pump broke down, you might wanna keep an eye on said pump and make sure that it's maintained regularly. Just an idea.

Spin Me Right Round by
ijemanja
Sam/Rodney; PG-13; 3,500 words
Summary: It's the worst date ever. And that's before the zombies show up.
four boots, five thousand two hundred and eighty feet by Pares
Sheppard/McKay; NC17; 9,200 words
Summary: "So what you're saying is, learning to love yourself really is the greatest love of all!"
I love bodyswap stories when they're done well, it's one of my favorite fanfic tropes (along with time loop and time travel). The voices in this fic are great and you can practically *see* them in each other's body. So much fun to watch it play out.

At least the mold downstairs has been mostly removed by now - the workmen took down the affected plaster completely (wearing protective suits and dust masks... that stuff's definitely not to be taken lightly). Fortunately they're done with the noisy part of the job now.
