Gorgeous -- very economical and convincing. Great likeness!

Thanks. Today went well work-wise. I thought he'd be harder to draw.

It's so hard to do that without rendering something clean through the page.

Indeed! That's why I make myself use eddings and brushpens instead of pencil. Forces me to reduce it to the essentials. It's easier if you can add gray shades, I think, but this is more interesting.

went on and on about his magnificent taste in socks.

Haha. I've seen very few interviews with him, but I heard he goes on about socks and the evils of chickens.

I'm trying to get rolling today and it's like I haven't held a pencil in six years. My brain feels like a ball of suet. Bleh. It's going to be hours of slow, painful, ugly rote work before I get back in the swing.

Yeah, the beginning is always hardest. Blank page syndrome. I really enjoy days like today and the past week, when I get a lot of stuff done and it seems effortless.

You know, my friend's parents brought us some powder that you're supposed to take in addition to your meals: minerals, vitamins, and so on (and caffeine!), and I'm starting to thing the stuff is really working little miracles. Maybe I'm imagining it, but it seems to help with the concentrating.

Heh. I don't. It makes me feel like The Little Match Girl. Forlorn and ill used. *g* Definitely a morning person, me.

I'm totally the opposite. In the morning I want my tea, my paper, and a few hours to get into gear.
