Wow. Monday night I went running. It was pitch dark and I had to find a route that wouldn't take me through the forest so I ended up running something like 10km, two more than my usual round. So far so good. Then yesterday I had a running date with a friend so we ran another 8km or something. And, I'd had the great idea to schedule our running date just before Yoga class so, hey, I wouldn't have to ride into town twice in one day. Sounded like a good idea at the time.

Man, I was so bone tired yesterday night... I stared at my desk and I wanted to work, the spirit was totally willing but the flesh... eh. It was either hanging out on my bed or hanging out on LJ. It was, hm, intersting. I actually enjoy pushing my body every once in a while; not the best use of an evening though. Last time I was so exhausted was when we were mountain hiking in Switzerland.

Okay, so resolution for today: no hanging out, LJ or otherwise, until I've finished a dozen sketches. A dozen, I'm counting. And I think I'll skip Pilates class :P

*looks at figures* And I can't even run 10 miles without getting winded (granted, I have weak lungs from too much bronchitis). You are amazing.

Best luck with the sketches!

Not really - a mile is way longer than a kilometer, I think 1m is about 1,6 km. Don't think I've ever run 10 miles in my life (and from the way my knees protested after yesterday, I think I'll happily stick with my 8, maaybe 10 km).

Sketches, yes, only a few more. I'm off again...

Good Lord, that should have been ten minutes, not ten miles. *eyeroll* I am historically much better with biking than with running, in terms of stamina; and of course I can play tennis for almost two hours straight (although it's not the same thing); but it's been a long time, and I have no bike.

*sends arty vibes*

Ah, my dad is hugely into tennis. He took us to the tennis court when we were kids, and I remember trying for an hour to hit that ball just right so it would make that satisfying 'ploing' instead of 'pokk'. I managed 'ploing' once, the rest, 'pokk''pokk''pokk'. Damn, that was frustrating. I never tried tennis again after that... ball games are just not my thing.

I sucked at tennis for a long time, but my dad is a total sports person and was very patient with me, and so I grew into the sport. I suck at probably every other sport known to man, although I think if I took classes and practiced hard I might learn to dance a little.
