[eta: this old entry should be fine for posting the pencils... nothing like an old LJ post for some privacy :)]
[old text:]for those interested in the behind-the-scenes, here's the preview of page seven, inked but uncoloured. This is actually a photo 'cause it's way too late in the day to warm up the large scanner. (Past four in the morning. Again. Now that the nights are getting longer, sooner or later I'll have to do something about that sleep rhythm... start using my *shudder* alarm clock.)
As usual, mild story spoilers behind the cut.
[snips page]

Ok, I'm posting all twelve pages for the sake of completeness. 9-12 are still in the pencils stage, and rough pencils at that (since I'm going to do my own inking). Let me know if anything about the plot is unclear, also if you notice you want to read panels in the wrong order.

If you look at it for hours and days at a time you stop noticing that kind of stuff.

Carrier pigeon. I love the little critters, too. Nifty little story device.

Thank you! Full-page panels are always satisfying to draw, and I was waiting for a chance to show the Haddyn cityscape in all it's... well, glory is probably not the right word.

Of course, Karl Moline did the ground work in creating Haddyn's look in the first place. Have you read 'Fray', by the way? If not, I cannot recommend that comic highly enough, both story and artwork are incredible.

No, I haven't read Fray. But I've been meaning to! This gives me extra incentive ;o)

Do! The only Fray spoiler, really, is that she's a Slayer. Which is kind of the back-cover premise. That, and what you'd get from the cover image. You're in for a treat. :-)

Hey Laurie, cool to see you around LJland.

Wow! Just. Wow.

Glad you like. I'm colouring this one right now. Prolly gonna finish it tomorrow, or maybe tonight. The first six pages are already coloured, you can find them in the previous posts.

Kel mentioned you working on a longer Bones fic???

yep- LjLand- the land of lost time and procrastination and really, really interesting discussions and people and creativity...

I've seen all the pages, you and yhlee are rockin' it and also lol at you for being surprised by your own awesomeness, hee! That must have just been quite the moment- it really *is* a small world (hey- I live an hour from Disney, it's contagious). If you do ever find out how many peeps have viewed Smile Time, please post it, I wanta know!

Yep- long Bones fic- long for me, at about 42,000 and still maybe 10-15,000 to go. I hope to have it up by the end of the month, so I'll be good to go for NaNoWriMo. And because of Ares and Chrislee, I'm also writing Buffy fic- I've never, ever written Buffy voice, but there you go- it's been a very odd summer.

I can't wait for page 8!

Man, it was bizarre. In a really cool way. More so, because while STTC got very good feedback, I now suspect the number of comments I got doesn't correctly reflect the number of actual readers. :P

If you do ever find out how many peeps have viewed Smile Time, please post it, I wanta know!

I still haven't found out, but I found out that they do rank the posts, and when I checked ljtops, mine was listed on rank 5 for that day - I have no idea if that means something but normally my journal ranks somewhere between 4000 and 5000... In any case, my theory is that since there's a ranking, there must be numbers to base that on. I just have to figure out how to get to them.

Bones fic: I'm so looking forward to it. At the moment there's so much good fic that I've fallen way behind with my reading.

And someone just started a WIP on ffn called Bad Deposit... only one chapter out yet but that is incredible, really. The style is just, wow. I hope this one will be continued. (The Woman in the Riverbed is also very good but looks abandoned at the moment, which is a shame.)

re: Buffyfic... Buffy/Angel? I'm reading quite a bit of B/A these days... have to, since all the C/A writers have jumped ship and show years ago. ;) I've come to really like the pairing (so long as the author stays away from the whole 'soulmate' concept which just goes against every grain in my body.)
