I went for a spot of buildering before that nasty rain cloud on the radar hit. This time I almost finished the owl tower traverse I've been working on since last year! I was on the home stretch, only two or three meters to go... and then I my fingers slipped. On the one problem that I didn't practise 300 times because it's not even that difficult. I had that in the bag, man. My arms hadn't even started to really tire, my feet didn't hurt... I could've taken my time searching for the best route past the final two problems. But I simply got impatient and grabbed onto the next best hold.
Well. Maybe next time. At least now I know I can do it in theory.

Now I'm gonna continue watching American Ninja Warrior season 4, which is fun and inspirational. There was one guy who did the course at 53 years. Bloody awesome! And a lady who's a grandmother tried out too.
(Interesting fannish sidenote: earlier in this ep there was a snippet of an interview with Levi Meeuwenberg and I was thinking that he was looking a bit like Jeremy Renner there - and then he said he just came from a shoot in the Philippines where he was doubling JR on Bourne Legacy...)
