Insta-Rec: I don't normally rec stories I'm in the middle of, but you guys, this story is so all-around great that I don't want to wait until I'm done (It's over 170,000 words long and I'm just over halfway through.)

Summary: Clint Barton's snap decision to re-interpret his mission orders means a new life for Natalia Romanova. She's only got the one shot at it, though, and "how to live and remake yourself in three easy steps" was never included in her assassin training.
The story starts with Natasha's recruitment into SHIELD and proceeds to show Natasha and Clint become partners in the field over the course of several dramatic, action-filled missions.
This fic doesn't just have some of the best characterizations I've read, it's also one of the very best mission fics out there. This is like watching a Black Widow & Hawkeye solo movie. Only I don't think the movie could be this good.
