Hey Telekom! Wir schreiben uns nun schon bald 6 Monate.
Five more days to solstice, thank god. I'm getting tired of squeezing my workout into a tiny daylight window of a few hours. Went working out in the rain today. Running wasn't too bad, that multi-functional microfibre jacket really works. But training on the monkey bars is considerably less fun when all the bars are dripping with rain. This is the kind of winter I loathe... temps above freezing, so it's cold, wet and generally miserable and you can't do anything with it. Last week was below freezing, now that was awesome! The air was clear and there was a bit of snow to brighten up the place... that was pretty perfect. I fervently hope we'll get more of that.

"Oh my god, Clint, put that back, you know what Tony's like when people touch his things," Darcy said all in one breath without thinking. For the 15 Characters meme...

I attempted to walk today, but it was fairly miserable, because the remaining slush there was not nearly melted away as in my neighborhood, but remained in half-frozen, extremely slippery patches, and you could either try to walk on those, or in the muddy patches where the run off water had pooled, and I sank in about three to five centimeters. Though I suppose I'm a wuss, because the other people I saw were runners who blithely ran over those patches where I gingerly slid along, and one older man who dragged his small portable oxygen tank behind himself and also seemed to have no great trouble.

Wow, respect. And, heh. Reminds me of the time my stepbrother took part in a 100km march in Holland - 25km a day. On day three his feet were all but falling off, he'd barely gotten them squeezed into his walking shoes in the morning, and he was really suffering. And then he got passed by a group of elderly dutch people in wooden clogs who where chatting happily.
I run on sludge and ice too, but one time I slipped (on the only remaining patch of ice on the entire path) and almost hurt myself when hit the ground. I've got a lot more cautious since then.
