I was going through some old bookmarks and can't remember if I linked this video already:

Even if you're not into climbing I think this is fascinating to watch. Especially to see the first guys struggle at the difficult part, only to see the last guy breeze through the problem in a really unique style.

I wonder how long my resolution to keep outdoor climbing through the winter will last, now that the temperature dropped 20 degrees. brrr. I haven't found a toprope partner for tomorrow night, but I might go anyway to get in some indoor bouldering.
Still working on finding the right clothing combination for winter archery, but today's try was encouraging.

So, LJ has finally figured out a way to break the site for good, eh? Should be interesting to see their latest "improvements" implemented. I'm not even getting worked up over it any more. But that's only because I got my Dreamwidth journal *pets*.

Did I read right that free accounts now come with scrapbook space? Because if that is the case, I think it's finally time to let my LJ lapse back to unpaid.

Ditto. I use much less than the 1GB they now say are available for free. The extra icons and notifications are nice to have, and the comment emailing too, but I use notifications less and less there now that it's become less active, and now that most post fic to AO3 comment mailing is less important (I used getting my comment mailed to get an easy copy of the fic I commented on), and icons alone are not worth paying this much.

Re the weather, the contrast from today compared to a week ago is really drastic. I mean last weekend I was more or less fine in a t-shirt, now I felt cold in multiple layers, one of them fleece. *brrr*

1GB should be plenty. I'll have to find relevant info with a list of comparisons; so far the only info I could find mentions 6 userpics (which is enough for me) but nothing about scrapbook or notification.

But I got plenty of time until September when my account runs out. Who knows, maybe they won't ruin the service too bad till then.

eta: thought re icons, it's a bit of a shame because your rat icons are its own method of communication.

Yeah, I'd definitely miss having my icons. I notice that on AO3 when I comment on stories there, where you only have one picture. But I'm on DW much more often than on LJ now to talk these days. My LJ is still paid until February I think, so I'll have a while yet to decide too.
