Yesterday I spent most of the day sketching the final page of a book. Found that it didn't quite work. Sat down again today to draw another version.
That one works even less.
This is driving me nuts. I think I have to scrap the whole page and start fresh instead of trying to save bits and pieces. What a waste of time. But the rest of the book looks pretty neat so far... now if I could just get that one page to match the rest.
*** I'm pretty sure I'm going to need to buy a new monitor real soon. Mine has just started to shift colours. Now it's casting a sickly yellowish tinge on everything; that can't be good. Time to start shopping around for a flat screen (...yay?)
I guess it's a sign of budding fannish obsession to wonder whether it'll wait till after the next episode of Bones before it gives up the ghost.
*** Speaking of... fic recs:
yhlee has written an excellent AtS/Bones crossover. (She's also made a crossover vid, which I find rather fascinating.)
And
entrenous88 has a short Zack&Booth fic with pitch-perfect dialogue, Give and Take.
That one works even less.

*hugs* You'll get it. What's the book about, anyway?

:o) Thanks
Yup, I got it, finally. I combined elements from both version and got a decent result.
I'm not allowed to talk about content, unfortunately. But I can say it's a tricky little critter. And I get to design the whole concept, so that's a lot of fun, but also more work.

Ah, I see. Sounds like a great project that will be a nice addition to your portfolio. :)
