incoherent rambling at three in the morning

three a.m.... I should go to bed, but I'm compulsively refreshing my other browser window to see if the new NoLimits ep is up yet.

Thoroughly unproductive day today... went to the gym, had a nice long dinner with friends... surfed the web (a lot) reading up on 'Bones'. Also trying to find fanfic, but I guess it's a bit premature for that. Oh, this has the potential to grow into a new obsession... here's hoping Fox will allow it to.

I had already watched the pilot weeks ago so I downloaded the official version pretty much to see the credits (I'm so smitten with my new DSL connection), plus the torrent came with a 'next week on Bones'. Yo, I was prepared to try my damndest to like it but found I didn't even have to try - I just liked it... lots of potential in the characters even if I'm usually not the least bit interested in procedural shows. I don't want to get more specific, too lazy for lj-cuts at this hour. Btw, brand new LJ community: [livejournal.com profile] bones_theseries

Where was I? Oh yeah, unproductive day, except I got a letter that one of my pixi-books went into its fifth print *beams*. So I'm telling myself that's my accomplishment for the day.

Aaand... ep 18 is up. I'm outta here. G'night. Tomorrow no surfing at all until I get at least five pages coloured. My new day's resolution.

I have friends here who weren't even into AtS who are chatting up Bones. Good, I hope it's a smash. I was a little put off by the jumpy, CSI-type direction in the pilot we saw in SD, but I really liked the characters. And of course I wish all good things for DB. :)

Ah, great to hear that it's not just the Whedonverse folks. Most people I saw spoke favourably of it, but those are all Angel fans. I was wondering how it fared outside our little corner. The ratings are looking good so far anyway (first in its time slot, if I heard correctly. Heh.)

I like the characters as well. I'm surprised how much I connected with them. And even with the whole redemption angle Booth is nothing like Angel. Very promising.
