So, the part where I said I don't feel fannish about The Avengers?
I take that back.
Here's an interesting blog article metaing about The costumes and characters of The Avengers. So far they've covered SHIELD, Tony, Pepper & Bruce, Captain America, and Loki. With the rest coming up. /snagged from

eta: arrgh, the search engine on AO3 is driving me nuts! I thought it was useless for a tiny fandom like Leverage or Chuck - I had no idea what 'useless' truly means until I tried looking for stuff in a megafandom.

If, in my case, I want to look for Natasha&Clint OR Natasha/Clint -Loki/anyone -Steve/Tony -Clint/anyonebutNatasha -Natasha/anyonebutClint and all that sorted by word count... unless I'm really missing something it can't be done. I've tried all possible acrobatic contortions with the search engine and buttons, nada. I hate to say it but ffn is the far superior site in that regard. Their seach engine is minimalistic and dusty but at least it works. Fortunately there's some good fic to be found on ffn, too.

For that sort of search on AO3, I usually go to a fic that I can find easily that has one of the pairings, click on the link of the pairing and then sort by word count from the buttons up at the top. It's awkward and I don't know for sure that it finds everything but it's the only way I've discovered to to it so far. I know they've talked about fixing the search feature and I sure hope it's sooner than later.

I was about to say that I tried just that and it didn't work... but now I tried it again and it worked. I'm so confused. But hey, now I got them sorted by length so yay.

Yeah, I know. But theoretically there are ways to work around that if you use the search window at the top, allegedly. Only that doesn't really work either.

I'm starting to think I should just use LJ search and google to look for recs.

Yeah, I only use that search box when looking for a specific title or artist.
