Some reruns?

Friends list, I am so tempted to just order a starter's set of the Powerstriders instead of waiting for that trial class that lady promised. It's been almost a week and no news yet so I'm starting to suspect it may have been an empty promise.

I'll give it another week!

I'm still collecting links for another set of recs. In the meantime, could I interest you in a set of re-recs? These are some of my go-to vids I love to rewatch over and over and can never get enough of; in no particular order:

Victorious (Chuck)
Open Secrets of the Pegasus Galaxy (SGA)
Happy Working Song (Leverage, team)
In the Ayer (Leverage, team)
In Exchange for Your Tomorrows (HP, Snape, Harry, Voldemort)
Without Me (AtS, Lilah)
Living Dead Girl (BtVS/AtS, Faith)
What is Eternal (SGA, Rodney)
Rockstar (SGA, Lorne)

Still can't find a new link for Jesus Walks and a few others. But the above links should all work, most of them even if you're in Germany. (screw GEMA)

The GEMA is loathsome, and I actually thought so long before their stance on internet music. They foil all sorts of low-key, non-profit amateur activities with bizarre licensing and fee demands. Like, I remember in the 90s half the ideas we had in a women's group I was in were impossible because of them. Like when we wanted to present ourselves with a small truck in a CSD parade, iirc, the fees and intricate bureaucracy required to play something legally on a small sound system were impossible for us. One year we went without music, and another year we actually hired women's drumming and dance group, because paying a bunch of professional live musicians for several hours was cheaper and easier than to deal with the GEMA.

Yeah. They are totally disproportionate. Really that it was cheaper to pay musicians for a new performance than to pay for playing reproductions of performances that already happened says everything. I mean, we would have paid the GEMA a little, that's why we had asked after all, but they basically wanted to charge us for a boom box on demonstration truck, that we wanted to have something to hop along and improve the atmosphere, as if it was us playing the music on a sound system to a paying crowd of the same size as the estimated demonstration plus bystanders or some insane reasoning like that.
