That was amazingly high quality! Wow! I can't believe it's a fan production. And I'd say it was fun to watch, except "fun" is really the wrong word. Wrenching, but in a good way?

The quality is amazing, isn't it? I've already seen a few vids on youtube by people who got jobs on the strength of those vids.

Yep, I know what you mean. That applies to the HG fic I read. I read one AU set after book one that's really really good, but quite dark and depressing, in a realistic way. And the one I'm reading now is a novel-length story from the POV of characters we don't really get to know until later; it's really well-written but just knowing what's goint to happen to them later makes it hard to read.

I like my fic on the happy side, I guess. Or rather, I like some dark best mixed with the light, like in Buffy and Angel.
