ice skating fun

ming85 has a pic spam about Canals iceskating in Amsterdam, where the canals have frozen for the first time in 15 years. And today's wetteronline.de features a photo report about ice trekking in Holland... a 30km long route through narrow canals and across frozen lakes.

I've gone ice skating almost every day for the past 10 days. :) The crappy weather will be back starting tomorrow but the clear frost was glorious while it lasted. And there's still a chance that we'll get proper snow rather than rain, so... *please please please*. Woke up this morning with a dry nose and a bunch of my friends mention they feel a cold coming on, so today I skated only for a short time and threw in a bowl of hot soup and a cup of hot lemon juice soon as I got home. Now I'm mostly cuddling at the heater, doing my taxes. Got a climbing date for tonight but I'm gonna take that real easy, too. I hope that all the sun and fresh air of the past two weeks have boosted my immune system sufficiently, fingers crossed.

Ohh, das glaub ich!

Das letzte mal, dass ich Schlitten fahren war, ist fast 20 Jahre her. Selbst wenn wir hier genug Schnee kriegen, ist da ohne Hügel wenig zu machen...
