Today I finished page 6 of my current work project. Page 6/12. Six pages which took three weeks, with two weeks left.
No way in hell that's gonna happen. That is not so good.
And I wasn't loafing - no goofing off online, only looked at fandom longingly from afar, if that. Working on my deadline-free fan comic, I think, has awakened an inclination for perfectionism which I'd been unaware of. The six pages I got so far do look really good (imhoandihopemyeditorswillagree) and I totally think it's worth investing this amount of time... no matter how insanely long it takes me to colour one page. But, okay, as long as the result justifies the time put in... *groan* Still, sometimes it feels like I'm painting round the clock and barely making any progress at all. Sisyphus, only with blank pages instead of rocks. Then I tell myself I feel like this each single time I reach half term during any longish project.
Luckily the deadline has been postponed even without my doing, so I shall be able to scramble together the time for the remaining pages later without having to rush it. Still, don't think I'm gonna be around LJ much. I hope I'll have a new Smile Time comic page next month, though.
In the meantime, here, look at some old comic artwork. That's all I got for now :o)... Man, I really need to clean up that webspace sometime...

hm, I really like this one even though the comic in question has been abandoned. But I must have at least one more page somewhere... gotta scan that one too sometime.
these two were sample illustrations for the xf comic adaptations.

What else... um, I'm totally out of the loop as far as fanfic goes. Usually I manage a page or two from my Japanese 'Prisoner of Azkaban' before falling asleep. But looking forward to the heap of fanfic waiting when I'll have more time.
