Comic update - page 3 inks

Well, instead of colouring, I inked the last missing page. I believe this is a 'ta-daa' moment? :o).

I'll still need to add plenty of shades later. Also changed the layout of page two, and will have to fix a few details on the inkwork of that page.

I don't know whether I'll have time to work on the comic for the next weeks. In the meantime, here's what I got so far. (Still no progress on the title, but then, I haven't given it that much thought yet. Still, I gotta think of something a little more interesting than 'The Comic'. But I got a few vague ideas at least.)

In other news, tomorrow marks the start of sugar-free week. (Groan) It'd be way easier to do this in the summer, when the fruit actually has some taste to it. Ah well. My family thinks I'm crazy. ;)

*snicker* I noticed that, too. Now remains just one question:
Why Peaches?

Heh. I noticed when I drew in the onomatop...uh, onomatopoeia? Anyway, I noticed that it was really particularly fitting for the occasion.

Heh. Exactly. He is one feisty puppet, isn't he.

I was downright sorry when I'd finished all of the puppet's fight scenes. They're the most fun of all!

Whoo! I was taking a break from working on my own art when just happened upon your LJ by using 'random.' LOVE the bits of the comic I've been able to see in full-size so far. Can't wait to keep checking up on it!

Hi, random lj traveller *waves*
I've added links to the large scans of the pages in my previous journal entries, for people who just stumbled upon it now. Just click on the thumbs.

LOL. No kidding.

Hope you don't mind my asking, but what do you use for color? Is it done
on the computer, or with colored pencils?

I'm using traditional techniques, primarily watercolour, with ecoline, acrylics, and pastel chalks mixed in as I like.

I used to do a lot of comic colouring with copic/tria markers, but I've given pretty much up on that technique - they don't scan well, and are not true to the light. (Neither is ecoline, but the felt pens are extreme... I was working outdoors in the summer one day, and the blue sky on my page had turned yellow by the time the sun went down...)
