I've been counting the days. How do you guys up in Scandinavia and Alaska bear it?

The past week wasn't as bad as the previous though, ever since I fixed my sleep rhythm. And since the temperature dropped so we got snow and frost instead of rain. The snow does wreak havoc on the traffic... a lot of people have taken to walking because bicycling has become an extreme-risk sport (the other day I took a left corner while my bike went on straight, that was interesting) and the buses sortakinda run except when they don't. But everything is so bright and pretty. I've spent hours these past days just walking to town and back and drinking in the sunlight.

Here on top of the snow, on Saturday 1700 of the city traffic lights stopped working because of the cold or the snow or something. That didn't help any with the traffic. I'm still not entirely sure how that worked, but the traffic lights here are just delicate flowers who faint at the first signs of irregularities in the power grid. It's been just a few months since the last widespread outage of 1500 traffic lights.
