fic rec (SGA) - Among the Stars by NotTasha

Well, it's official: my gym is toast. Another victim of the recession, possibly. Damn shame, I really liked that place.

At least my prospective new one has that luxury wellness area with pool to look forward to. Will probably sign up this week, I can't put off my back excercises any longer. I had zero problems with my back during the week in San Diego, but now I'm really starting to notice that I've neglected it for too long. At least the holidays are over so Yoga class will start again this week too, that should help.
And tonight we plan to go the climbing center again. I'm really looking forward to it! It's funny how a new hobby changes the way you look at your environment... when I ride through town now, I automatically scan the area for good climbing spots. Yesterday I discovered a playground not far from home that has several of the features we're looking for. Sweet!

fic recs: I have a huge recs backlog; think I'll chop away at it one of two recs at a time...

summary: The team is searching for Gates to harvest and comes across a space station that was set up to record a supernova.

I really enjoyed this! Great plotty teamfic - and one of the few Atlantis fics I've read that are set entirely in space. I thought the descriptions of the station and the vastness of space work really well.

Here's for something entirely different:
Kseniya Simonova - Sand Animation (Україна має талант / Ukraine's Got Talent)
This was fascinating to watch... storytelling with sand. Never seen anything like this before.
