Huh. Has this journal been linked from some high-traffic place? I have a handful of counters on some of the older art posts, and there's been quite a spike during the past day. It pleases me muchly to see our Angel/Fray comic get some attention. :)

fanart: Okay... here're two more inked panels from Teh Comic, don't click if you want to read the whole thing unspoiled. Which I'd actually recommend, but I really got to post something, or I'll pop. I have these two completed pieces of fanart that I can't post until [livejournal.com profile] paintedspires goes live. (Which is in three weeks' time, stay tuned. The prompt list alone reads terrific, I can't wait to see what everybody else will come up with.)

[livejournal.com profile] jasonlatour is posting comic art in his LJ. Very intriguing style, particularly the use of darks. Jason regularly posts scans of sketches and the like and I highly recommend his journal to anyone interested in art, particularly comics art.

Fascinating, innit? It's so interesting to see the changes that are going on in filmmaking. I remember last year when that pro-Obama vid popped up online and was linked everywhere, and 'experts' were convinced it couldn't have been privately produced since it was way to sophisticated... while fandom has been producing that kind of quality for a while now.

I followed the bread!wank link in your post. People will really find a way to wank about everything... anyway, grade A wank and the recipe looks very tasty, too. I think I'll try my hand at it.

The food wank is always fun. And there are usually excellent recipes in the comments, which is a bonus.

One of your comics (the one about the MALPs) was rec'd on [livejournal.com profile] stargateficrec this morning, so that might be part of your spike....

It was very funny, BTW, and now I'm off to look at the rest of your art. :)

Yeah, I was thrilled to see it rec'd at ficrec. That first bunch of hits came from off-site though, I think (dang, I almost typed off-planet... been watching too much SGA, quite possibly *g*)

It was very funny, BTW, and now I'm off to look at the rest of your art. :)

Glad you like it.
